It’s true, there’s a new Mad Anthony record on the horizon. YOU’RE GONNA LOVE THE NAME! it’s “Mad Anthony“. That’s right, the creative minds (?) who brought you “…I Spent All My Money on Speed Metal“, a joke most music critics didn’t understand, follow up their well received full-length debut with a self-titled LP. What a bunch of jerks?!?!

Set for release in early June, the album is the new home of 12, count ‘em, 12! new Mad Anthony songs, including ‘Bear Attack‘. But, as our tax reports indicate, making a record is super expensive (at least to our empty wallets), so we’ve set up a KICKSTARTER campaign to help with some of the financial burden.

In exchange for your contributions to The Mad Anthony Kickstarter Campaign you will be rewarded with downloads, CDs, VINYL! (that’s right, warm, beautiful, stinky vinyl), and other awesome MA merchandise ahead of the schedule release date. LIKE WAY AHEAD!

We’ll also be on the road a ton over the next month (SHOWS) previewing, promoting, and bragging about the new record (plus drawing attention to the kickstarter campaign). Let your voices be heard. Help a poor Midwestern rock band make the best record money can buy.

Dave Markey – you’re truly one of our greatest friends and it was honor to share a stage with you each time. The time and effort you put into Mad Anthony over four years will never be forgotten, you’re our brother.

Tony Bryant and his family – Thank you for sharing your life with us. We can’t help but think about you every time we take the stage. You’re truly an inspiration to us and a reminder of how fragile this all is. The lessons we learned from you are countless, but the most important is to never take any of this for granted. We love & miss you buddy.

The Southgate House Staff – Thank you for taking us under your wing early in our career and giving our music a home. We’re so excited to start a new relationship in your future home. Special thanks to Lily & Shawn for being some of the best people we know.

Mike Montgomery – one of the most talented men we’ve had the honor of working with. Your patience and knowledge in the studio makes us sound like a better band than we really are, we’re eternally grateful.

Jerry Dirr - You’ve been countless characters for us over the years from mentor to label-owner, friend to fill-in drummer… but we’ll always know you as “Discipline Daddy”.

Amy Weber – At times it felt like you were an honorary member. Printing shirts, helping with artwork and putting up with Ringo; you were behind the scenes in almost every capacity. Thank you.

Karen Weber – The artwork you created for our split with The Yellow Belts was the most inspiring and unique pieces we’ve had the pleasure to put our name on. Everyone that owns the seven-inch always complements the packaging and DIY ethic that you helped us capture, thank you so much.

Justin & Annabelle – We’re still quite perplexed as to why you’re so nice to us. You’ve opened your home (& kitchen) to us every time we’re in town. You entertain us with your stories and we marvel at your modesty & spirit. Without you we would have given up years ago.

Banderas – Band of Brothers. It’s pretty amazing to have the connection, that we have, between two groups. You motivate and inspire us every show. You’re our honest critic and biggest supporter. We love you guys.

The Shanks - Cramming six guys in a van and touring the rust belt may sound like the time of your life… and you’d be right, as long as it’s with The Shanks. Thank you for sharing some of the greatest shows and memories with this little band from Cincinnati.

The Yellow Belts – By far the most talented and influential band we’ve ever worked with. We still get goosebumps every time we witness the raw power and ferocity of your live show. We’re proud to share a record with you!

Fans & Friends – We’ve experienced some of the greatest highs and the lowest lows together… but you keep coming back. Putting up with our persistent reminders of shows and paying the $5 to see us butcher our own songs. You keep us going, without you we’d be nothing.
